Welcome to the Berkeley Student Cooperative

Thank you for your interest in the Berkeley Student Cooperative! Our mission is to provide a quality, low-cost, cooperative housing community to university students, thereby providing an educational opportunity for students who might not otherwise be able to afford a university education.


Before you can apply for housing or boarding at our properties, you must register through the Portal. The registration process requires you to build a profile and pay a non-refundable $25.00 registration fee. Upon completion of the registration process, you will be able to log back in and apply for housing.

- Notices
We have plenty of vacancies for Summer. We will begin to make Summer housing offers the week of March 11 and we will continue to make assignments throughout the Summer term.
We will begin to make Fall housing offers the week of March 18. We will continue to make Fall housing offers until November as we process contract refusals and cancellaiotns.
There is a separate waitlist for Fall. If you are interested in Summer and Fall housing, you must submit an application for both terms on the member portal. Summer housing does NOT guarantee Fall housing. Fall housing is more competitive than Summer.
